Why 100 days?
Glad you Asked
Founded by David Bujjadda in 2024, the 100 Days of Climate Activism project is the brainchild of a passionate agrometeorologist and graphic designer. David’s unique background in climate science and visual communication provided the perfect foundation for this initiative.
In 2024, with a passion for climate activism and a bit of free time, David decided to leverage his expertise to educate and engage his followers on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. The goal was simple yet impactful: create and share daily graphics that demystify climate change and highlight actionable steps individuals can take.
From February to May 2024, and then again from February to May 2025, David created over 200 graphics, each designed to inspire and inform. These visuals covered a broad spectrum of topics, from the impacts of climate change to sustainable living practices and individual actions that collectively contribute to a healthier planet.
As the project evolved, David recognized the importance of engaging the younger generation. By visiting schools, such as his alma mater, Our Lady Parents’ School, he brought climate activism directly into classrooms. The aim was to plant the seeds of environmental consciousness early, empowering students to become future leaders in climate action.
David’s vision is clear: climate action starts with us. It’s about individual responsibility and collective impact, without waiting for governmental intervention. Through art, education, and community engagement, the project continues to inspire people to take meaningful steps toward a sustainable future.
